We are the mighty fitblrs.
hyperbolicdiet:
crossingtheasymptote:
We run in ridiculous weather temperatures.
We wake up early to do ridiculous workouts.
We are the determined of the determined.
We make mistakes like any other person.
Except we still keep going.
And if one of us falls, we all lend helping hands to bring them back on track.
Through thick and thin, we have each others back.
All the time.
And we’re...
All In
Well, thanks to Alex (smarthealth) and his weight training brovolution, I sweat through my first two days of arms and legs. I also did my first day of HIIT. Now, I am someone who feels 4.5 on the treadmill is a great speed for me to maintain or oh, about 4 miles. So, when I was planning out my HITT, I thought, ok, 5.5 sounds good for the sprints…

Reblog if BenDoeslife somehow inspired you to...
He surely did. I saw his video and cried.
Man Down! Man Down!
Wow, it seems like dog years since I’ve posted. Possibly due to the fact that both Magnus and Lilith were diagnosed yesterday with double ear-infections. Does that make it a quadruple ear-infection? Needless to say, sleep and sanity have been scarce. Couple that with a monstrous amount of time I’ve had to spend formatting a textbook at work and you get zippo in both the fitness and...
For the Love of it all..
Will someone put an end to this work day so I can go run??? How about now? How about now?
Reblog if you are a fitblr! New or veteran!
carladoeslife:
I want to follow all of you fitblrs, new and seasoned so that I can stay motivated by both ends of the journey! Follow me too so I stay on track (Note: live in fear of doing badly and disappointing the Internets)
Does Tumblr give Awards?
Can someone nominate my past post for a Blurry? I have no idea if Tumblr gives out awards, so I would like to recommend that we hereby inaugurate the Annual Blurrys. Dress is optional and I volunteer to host the after-party. Perhaps one day I can hope to attain lifetime bitchiness status!
Oy to the World
I have several things to say here, none of which are particularly connected, so please bear with me, or feel free to skip to your favorite rant-laden paragraph.
1. According to my fellow fitblrs, today is WIW or Weigh-in-Wednesday. I have ignored the idea for as long as possible but I think it is time I introduced a scale into my life. I don’t want to be a slave to the scale, but it will...
Taking it to the Bridge or, Why it is NEVER a Walk...
Yesterday I began the Bridge to 10k. Because my 5k races (all 2 of them) have hovered around the 38-39 minute mark, I punished myself by thinking I wasn’t ready to move on—that I needed to have at least a 36 minute time. But you know what? F-that right in the ear! I’m moving on and day 1 of the bridge was not only a festival of sweat, it pushed me to run farther than...
roadto224-deactivated20110930 asked: Thank you so much for following me, and for being my 350th follower! I look forward to following you on your journey ... it will indeed be the year of the diva :-)
All the best, Cary :-)

You know you've turned a corner...
when the day you only do the shred is the day you consider a “day off.” While I may not have been chosen for the Biggest Loser, I fully intend to undergo the Jillian transformation. If nothing else, I can try to firm up the change purses attached to my triceps.
I realize it is Friday so this evening I might need to get the shabbos goy elves to assist me in making CDs for all those...
You get a mix...and You get a mix
Ok then, due to both popular demand and in celebration of Festivus, I’m going full-on Oprah. Who wants a mix? I promise not to record things from the radio on to a tape. Please leave your message and address here or email me so that you can run to DJ Sass’s booty shaking music ASAP.
Flourescent Lights and Everything
I cannot believe I’m saying this but I just stepped into the washroom (after being at work since 6:15 am) and I looked in the mirror and thought, “wow, I’m looking good!” Flourescent lights and all. Woot!
What Got Me Started
People often ask me why I started running—what exactly was it that motivated me to get off the couch and start my journey. The answer is simple—death.
2010 has been a terrible year. In February, my father died. I had not spoken with him for 7 years and then, there I was, sitting with him at his deathbed. This was beyond difficult for me.
In May, one of my...
